New Hire Benefits Enrollment


Question: I am a new hire; when will I be able to select my benefits?

Answer: If your appointment has been processed, your appointment information will be displayed in Wolverine Access. To confirm your appointment: 

1.  Go to the Wolverine Access gateway at wolverineaccess.umich.edu
2.  Select the Faculty & Staff tab, or select the Students tab if you are a student
3.  Select Employee Self-Service, or Student Business if you are a student
4.  Enter your uniqname and password
5.  Click the Employment Information tile
6.  Click on View Appointment

Once your appointment is online, you may enroll in benefits online using Self Service > Benefits.

1.  Go to the Wolverine Access gateway at wolverineaccess.umich.edu
2.  Select the Faculty & Staff tab, or select the Students tab if you are a student
3.  Select Employee Self-Service, or select Student Business if you are a student
4.  Enter your uniqname and password
5.  Click the Benefits tile
6.  The Benefits Enrollment page will be displayed
7.  Follow the online instructions to make your benefit elections.  If you need assistance with the program, click the Help link.

Be sure to click the Actions List - Sign out, then Log Out, and then Log Out one more time when you are through reviewing your benefits to keep your information secure.
